Hartwick College is launching a new Institute for Public Service, coinciding with National Voter Registration Day. The purpose of the nonprofit and non-partisan institute will be to educate and inspire students to become the next generation of public servants. The Instotute says it will sponsor edebates involving candidates for Otsego County Representatives and Otsego County Clerk next month, as well as candidates running for Oneonta Common Council in November.
