State Comptroller Thomas P. DiNapoli’s office announced there are more than 46 million unclaimed funds accounts valued at $17.5 billion. Over $400 million in lost or forgotten money was returned to consumers last year. The Comptroller’s Office has an online database where you can check to see if you’re owed money.
