Minimum wage workers aren’t the only ones getting a government-mandated pay hike. The state legisature approved a $32,000 pay raise for themselves that’s effective the first of the year. Their minimum salary goes from $110,000 a year, to $142,000. Governor Kathy Hochul will need to approve the hike.
