Governor Kathy Hochul signed five bills into law Tuesday improving protections for domestic violence victims. The new laws include seizure of weapoms from those under a protection order and allowing victims to keep voter information from being made public. The laws were signed during the observanmce of Domestic Violence Awareness Month.
