An audit by New York Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office finds the state is slow when it comes to using federal COVID-19 funds to alleviate the affordable housing crisis. Because there is a deadline on using the federal funds, delays in allocating it to specific housing projects or housing relief programs could result in funds being lost.
