If you received the Empire State Child Credit or the Earned Income Credit on your 2021 tax returns you may be eligible for a one-time payment from the state. Gov. Kathy Hochul announced $475 million is allocated to provide an average payment of $270. Checks will be sent to qualified individuals by the end of October.
