This is Invasive Species Awareness Week in New York and the state Departments of Environmental Conservation and Agriculture and Markets say everyone can make a difference in the fight against invasives. Tips include using only local firewood, properly cleaning watercraft before and after boating and cleaning dirt off boots after hiking.
