New York creates a new watchdog agency to rein in prescription drug costs. The Department of Financial Services’ Pharmacy Benefits Bureau is charged with overseeing Pharmacy Benefit Managers, specifically their impact on consumers and the cost of health care. The Bureau will also investigate drug price spikes.
