The DMV recovered over $1.65 million for consumers who received faulty or fraudulent service from auto dealers and repair shops. That includes recovering vehicle titles when dealerships closed abruptly, assisting in repairs or refunds, and getting dealerships to buy back vehicles in some cases to settle disputes.
