A new initiative called “Creatives Rebuild New York” is offering $1,000 monthly stipends for a year-and-a-half for artists in various mediums who are beginning their careers. The initiative is funded by three nonprofits and also proposes giving 300 people collaborative art jobs paying $65,000 annually.
