State Police Troop C based in Sidney has a new commander. Major Jeffrey VanAuken succeeded Major Todd Stratton who retired earlier this year. Major VanAuken is a 27-year department veteran who is a Navy veteran. He says a major goal is to stop the flow of illegal drugs and weapons.
