The Otsego County Department of Health reports a third COVID-19 death occurred last week. The most recent deaths occurred in individuals aged from 42 to 78. 94% of all deaths related to COVID-19 are in unvaccinated individuals.Since September 1st there have been 408 new COVID-19 cases reported with 14 cases on Saturday. Suspect Sought In Gilbertsville Flag-Burning Incident

State Police are looking for the suspect who burned a pride flag at a Gilbertsville home. It happened sometime between Sept. 9 and 12. There was minor damage to the home’s porch. A similar flag and a lawn sign were stolen from the same home a few weeks earlier. Otsego County recorded its 67th COVID-19 related death on Thursday. The individual’s age and gender weren’t released and it’s not known if they were vaccinated. It’s the second COVID-19 death this week. 20 new COVID-19 cases were reported yesterday and there are now 173 active cases. 7 people are in the hospital.
