New York’s moratorium on COVID-19-related residential and commercial evictions is now extended through January 15. Lawmakers also enacted a moratorium on foreclosure proceedings so owners of 10 or fewer residential dwellings can file hardship declarations with their mortgage lender. The state’s rental assistance program is also expanded.
