Cooperstown Church Nominated For NROHP

Cooperstown’s Evangelical Lutheran Church is one of 19 locations nominated for inclusion in the State & National Registers of Historic Places. It was built in 1839 in the Greek Revival style and renovated 1887 to include Gothic Revival elements. The church was associated with Hartwick Seminary, the first Lutheran seminary in the United States, chartered in 1815.
