Rabid Bat Found In Cooperstown

A bat found in Cooperstown tests positive for rabies. Health Department officials say it was found last Thursday and there was no human exposure. Rabies can be fatal if not treated immediately after being exposed. State law requires all dogs, cats and ferrets to be vaccinated against rabies.
