The Otsego County Department of Health reports a 65th person has died from COVID-19 related complications. The department didn’t disclose the individual’s age, gender or residency or if that person was vaccinated. 14 additional COVID-19 cases were reported on Monday and the active case total is 83. 5 people are hospitalized. A month-long investigation into bad checks passed in Cobleskill results in a man facing felony charges. Police say the man cashed 3 fradulent checks last month worth more than $13,000. The man turned himself in last Sunday and was arraigned on 2 felony charges then released on his own recognizance. The Village of Sherburne EMS has a new $150,000 ambulance thanks to yogurt maker Chobani. Village officials tell the Evening Sun that they began a fundraising drive for a new ambulance after repairs to the old vehicle began costing around $10,000. 2 men from Morris face felony charges in connection with a string of Delaware County burglaries.
