The newest Siena College poll finds a majority of respondents are worried about high gas prices and the increasing cost of groceries. The survey of over 800 New Yorkers taken the week of June 16 found that while higher prices were of concern respondents are feeling better about the economy than they did at the beginning of the year. The pollsters also learned that more people plan to purchase big-ticket items such as furniture and major appliances.
