Sherburne In Line To Get Federal Broadband Internet Funding

The Village of Sherburne is a step closer to receiving a federal grant to improve broadband internet access. According to 22nd District Congresswoman Claudia Tenney’s office the $212,000 in funding was approved by a House committee and will now be voted on by the entire House. The appropriation will also need to be approved by the U.S. Senate. Tenney says expanding broadband access in our region is one of the most important issues today.
