Norwich Mayor Shawn Sastri rescinds his resignation after the Common Council met on Tuesday and decided to hold off on appointing him as youth bureau director. According to the Evening Sun the council met in a private session before deciding to delay the appointment. Officials say Sestri is required to leave office before accepting the new job. Sestri says he remains an applicant for the director position.
