New York suspends road and bridge construction from today through Tuesday morning to ease travel throughout the Independence Day holiday weekend. Drivers are reminded to follow the state’s Move Over Law, which requires slowing down and safely moving over for law enforcement vehicles, fire trucks, ambulances, tow trucks and stopped construction or maintenance vehicles. All welcome centers, rest areas and text stops remain open and rest rooms as well as vending services continue to be available.
