Restaurants Can Continue To Use Municipal Space for Outdoor Dining

An executive order allowing New York State restaurants to utilize municipal spaces like sidewalks and streets for outdoor dining that was signed dueing COVID-19 is remaining in effect for another year. The June 2020 executive order permitted the use subject to reasonable limitations and procedures set by the State Liquor Authority and the safety and supervision plans of the local municipality. With the expiration of those orders last month a law was passed to continue the use.
