Norwich Mayor Shawn Sastri is leaving that role to become the city’s new Youth Bureau director. Sastri tells the Evening Sun his passion for working with youth and his experience with current Director Bob Mason sparked his interested in the job. Sastri’s resignation is effective July 18 and city officials are working on locating his replacement to complete the term that runs through this year.
