A Hancock economic development group is spearheading an effort to get the area’s only full-service pharmacy to restore operating hours to pre-COVID-19 levels. According to WBNG Walgreens eliminated weekend pharmacy hours and ended weekday hours at 7:00 p.m. The group Hancock Partners is petitoning Walgreens CEO Roz Brewer to get the pharmacy back to its earlier schedule. Group officials say when the Hancock pharmacy isn’t open residents have to drive up to hour for their medications.
