The U.S. Department of Justice Department will not investigate New York’s public nursing home response to COVID-19. An investigation was requested over the state requiring nursing homes to accept residents previously hospitalized for COVID-19 and if that caused more deaths.
DOJ officials say they made the decision after reviewing data sent by the state.
