SUNY Oneonta has a new President. The Board of Trustees appointed Dr. Alberto Jose Cardelle who most recently was provost and vice president for academic affairs at Fitchburg State University in Massachusetts. Dr. Cardelle is noted for starting diversity and inclusion initiatives along with creating summer-bridge programs for students requiring additional support and a Hispanic Male Mentoring program. He starts at SUNY Oneonta on Sept. 6.
