The Nourish NY program, established to help farmers, food banks, and families will soon become permanent. The program was launched in April 2020 in response to the financial hardships dairy farmers were facing with the loss of key markets along with greatly increased demand that New York’s food banks were seeing from COVID-19. State lawmakers approved bills to include the program in the annual state budget. They now go to the Governor’s desk for his signature.
