Gillibrand et. al Reintroduce Clean Water Standards for PFAS Act

U.S. Senator Kirsten Gillibrand joins with 2 Congressmen to reintroduce the Clean Water Standards for PFAS Act which the lawmakers say will stop manufacturers and other polluters from contaminating the nation’s waterways. Currently, there are no Environmental Protection Agency regulations limiting how much of the chemicals can be discharged and the lawmakers say that endangers public health and requires clean up and treatment efforts to protect drinking water sources. The bill was introduced last year but did not come up for a vote.
