The former Morris Central School District treasurer who reached a plea deal on embezzlement charges will not be serving jail time. Kristina Hand was sentenced to 2 years’ probation and 50 hours of community service plus Hand has to repay the $34,000 taken between 2014 and 2020. According to prosecutors Hand diverted checks from the school distict into accounts she controlled plus charged $10,000 in personal purchases to district accounts.
