Delaware County Corrections Officer Paul Moore is named the 2020 Corrections Officer of the Year by the New York State Sheriff’s Association. Moore helped save the life of a fellow officer last June who was choking by administering the Heimlich Maneuver. Sheriff Craig DuMond remarked that not only where Officer Moore’s actions remarkable, but his humble demeanor afterward was extraordinary. Moore received the award in Albany last week.
