Starting on Thursday New Yorkers 16 and older will be able to get a COVID-19 vaccination at state-run clinics without making an appointment. Officials are concerned that people are avoiding getting the vaccine because they won’t be able to get an appointment or don’t have internet access to sign up. The state also aligned its mask-wearing guidance with the new CDC guidelines which say if you’re fully vaccinated it’s not necessary to wear a mask outdoors while in small groups.
