The Otsego County Department of Health reports that despite increasing COVID-19 vaccination rates the number of new cases per day is not declining. The average number of new cases reported per day was 24 in January, 15 in February, 24 in March and 21 in April. Officials say it is important to continue to practice the public health measures to ensure the unvaccinated population does not become infected. It is also imperative that everyone eligible gets vaccinated.
