State Police are investigating a fatal officer-involved shooting that occurred Tuesday afternoon in the city of Oneonta. According to a news release Oneonta Police responded to a report of a domestic incident on River Street and officers encountered 23-year-old Tyler Johnson who was armed with a knife. During the encounter an officer fired his duty weapon, striking Johnson. He was airlifted to Albany Medical Center where he died. The Attorney General’s office is also involved in the investigation.
