The City of Oneonta now has 7 new police officers – the largest class of new officers at one time in the city’s history. Mayor Gary Herzig administered the oath to the 6 men and 1 woman during an outdoor ceremony at Neahwa Park. Acting Police Chief Christopher Witzenberg remarked that this ceremony was “a light at the end of the tunnel” after a trying year for many since COVID-19.
