New OPD Officers To Take Oath On Wednesday

7 New Oneonta Police Department Officers are set to take their oath on Wednesday. According to All Otsego the six men and one woman will be sworn in by Mayor Gary Herzig in an open-air ceremony at Neahwa Park. Each officer’s starting salary is $40,000 as required under the Police Benevolent Association’s contract with City Hall, and each will undergo six months of training at the Broome County Police Academy.
