The Ilion Firefighters Association has released a statement responding to the change in command structure at the Ilion Fire Department and allegations made against members of the Ilion Fire Service. The statement assured the public that the Department is fully staffed and ready to serve as always. The statement went on to say that the accusations are serious and warrant an investigation. and that the Association understands that the mayor and village board are legally bound to do so. The statement is in response to a complaint filed by a now former employee of the Village of Ilion alleging conduct which could subject the village to legal liability.
