A week after Ilion Mayor Brian Lamica announced that members of the Ilion fire department were under investigation, it has been announced that Ilion and Little Falls plan to share a fire chief on a temporary basis as part of a shared services agreement. WKTV reports that Fire Chief Rob Parese will spend 4 hours a day, two days a week for the next three months in Ilion. In exchange, Ilion’s treasurer will assist the Little Falls treasury department. The Little Falls Common Council approved the arrangement earlier this week and Ilion’s village board will vote on the agreement on Monday. The investigation stems from a complaint filed against two members of the fire service by a former employee.
