Otsego County Sheriffs Save Life of Man After Suicide Attempt

Cooperstown Village police officers credited with quick thinking in the rescue of an attempted suicide by transporting the victim to the hospital after realizing that waiting for an ambulance would take too long. According to AllOtsego.com, while attending to a request for a welfare check on a suicidal man, Otsego County officers found blood in several rooms, enough to cause great concern for the man’s welfare. The man expressed the desire to die and officers continued to reassure him he wouldn’t be left alone and would be helped. He became faint, and officers at that time it would be best to take him to the hospital in their patrol car.
