The Delaware County Sheriff’s office is investigating reports of people shooting and damaging fiber optic cables that carry Internet and TV. According to County Sheriff Craig DuMond, most of the damage has affected equipment owned by Delhi and Margaretville telephone companies, but has affected service all over the county, including vital emergency services, like the Sheriff’s department.
