When the Oneonta Common Council meets on Tuesday they will vote on naming Police Lt. Christopher Witzenburg as interim chief of the Oneonta Police Department. Last month Chief Douglas Brenner announced his retirement after four year as Oneonta’s top cop. All Otsego reports the city will begin the process of selecting Brenner’s permanemt successor next month and the City Council will select that person from the list of candidates.
