The application deadline for New York’s COVID-19 Rent Relief Program is Feb. 1. The Program provides eligible households with a one-time rental subsidy of up to four months’ rent that will be sent directly to the household’s landlord. Applicants will not need to repay this assistance. It is the remaining portion of New York’s federal CARES Act funding for rental assistance, which amounted to $100 million. Apply at hcr.ny.gov/rrp
