51st District State Senator Peter Oberacker and 121st District State Representative John Salka reacted to the report from Attorney General Letitia James that New York underreported the number of nursing home COVID-19 deaths by as much as 50%. Oberacker says if that number is true then state Health Commissioner Howard Zucker should immediatelly resign. Salka issued a statement calling for the legislature to remove Governor Cuomo’s COVID-19 emergency powers because of the underreporting.
