The State University of New York loosens masking policies to align with new guidance from the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention which calls for fully vaccinated people not having to wear masks outdoors unless they’re in a crowded setting. So far SUNY officials haven’t decided if student vaccination will be mandatory for returning students in the fall but according to Chancellor Jim Malatras a mandate may not be needed if enough get a vaccine on their own.
