State Police Investigating OCSD Accidental Gun Discharge

New York State Police are investigating an incident where an off-duty Otsego County Sheriff’s deputy’s gun went off in an Oneida County restaurant. It happened last Saturday as the deputy was seated at a table in the Camden restaurant and according to a preliminary investigation the shot exited through their pocket and ricocheted off the floor resulting in minor injuries to a 10-year-old girl and a 38-year-old woman. Both were treated at the scene.
