NYSP Increasing Patrols For Memorial Day

New York State Police are increasing patrols to combat drunk, impaired and reckless driving throughout the Memorial Day weekend. The STOP-DWI enforcement period starts on Friday and runs through next Tuesday, Drivers can expect to see sobriety checkpoints and more troopers on the road during this holiday weekend. Troopers will be using both marked and unmarked vehicles as part of this crackdown.
Last year troopers arrested 225 people for drinking and driving and investigated more than 130 injury crashes.
