Jail Repairs To Take Until Next Year

The Otsego County Jail won’t be housing inmates until early next year due to a leaky roof. Sheriff Richard Devlin says the leak started last Thursday after heavy downpours resulting in all inmates moved to other facilities because the leak posed hazards. $230,000 in emergency funding was approved by the County Board of Representatives so repairs can be done. The jail was built 30 years ago.
