Pharsalia Supervisor Charged With Embezzlement

The town of Pharsalia supervisor is facing grand larceny charges following an investigation into the disappearance of more than $120,000 in municipal funds. According to State Comptroller Thomas DiNapoli’s office Dennis Brown used a town credit card to make the expenditures since 2010. The investigation found Brown used the card to pay utility bills, take vacations and purchase luxury goods. The discovery was made during the town’s 2018 audit.
