Sentencing Set For Man Convicted Of Killing Adopted Son

The Mount Upton man found guilty of killing his adopted disabled son, and setting the house on fire will be sentenced May 3. Ernest Franklin II faces 25 years to life in prison for being convicted of killing the 16-year-old developmentally disabled boy then attempting to mask the crime by setting the fire. Franklin’s wife is also charged and her trial is set to begin April 1.
