American Red Cross Aids 3 After Oneonta Storms

Volunteers from the Mohawk Valley Chapter of the American Red Cross were called into action to help an Oneonta family Monday night.

The weather forced the family out of their Oneida Street home and the Red Cross provided financial assistance for necessities such as shelter, food and clothing to two adults and one child aged 16.

The Red Cross says in 2016 they responded to more than 400 home fires and other disasters in the 24-county Eastern New York Region.
