Seward Announced Companion Animal Capital Fund

State Senator James Seward has announced the creation of a Companion Animal Capital Fund as part of the recently approved state budget.

The first of its kind fund has a total of $5 million to provide humane societies, nonprofits, and municipal shelters with grants for capital projects through a competitive application process.

Projects will have to be shovel ready and the shelters will have to provide matching funds in order to show the readiness of the capital project.
