No New State Budget As Of Sunday

The state legislature wrapped up weekend meetings without coming to terms on a new budget.

Among the stumbling blocks is the so-called raise the age bill that would raise the age of criminal responsibility in New York from 16 to 18.

Since the state entered the new fiscal year on Saturday it technically has no money to spend until the budget is passed but Governor Cuomo can issue a budget extender if a deal isn’t reached.
